WHO AM I?

I graduated in Speech and Language Therapy with First Class Honours from the University of Nantes (France) in 2011.

After working in the private sector in France, I moved to Dubai in 2012, then to Sydney in 2017. I worked in different multidisciplinary centres before opening my own private practice. I now work exclusively online.
For over twelve years, I have been passionate about the specificities of expat families: multilingualism, cultural complexity, frequent moves from one country to another, and resulting changes in the schooling system.
I mostly work with children presenting with a wide range of communication, language or learning disorders and difficulties. These include speech and language delays, articulation or swallowing difficulties, communication and pragmatic disorders, literacy difficulties (sometimes leading to dyslexia), mathematics and reasoning difficulties (dyscalculia).
I have also completed special training in the following areas:

-
The Makaton program (UK), a language programme that uses symbols, signs and speech to enable people to communicate and that supports oral language development.
-
The Lidcombe program (AUS), a therapy program for preschool children who stutter.
-
It Takes Two To Talk ® by Hanen (CA), a methodology and coaching framework for effectively engaging parents in their child’s early language intervention.
-
Oral Placement Therapy by Talktools ® (USA), a type of oral-motor therapy used to target specific movements needed for speech clarity and feeding.
-
PROMPTs for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (USA), a tactile-kinesthetic (touch and feel) approach that uses touch cues to a patient's articulators (jaw, tongue, lips) to manually guide them through a targeted sound, word or sentence.
I am particularly interested in working with multilingual families. I also enjoy helping children with learning disorders as well as promoting early intervention for young ones presenting with limited verbal abilities.

I believe a child’s pleasure to communicate is our most precious achievement, and I make a point of pursuing functionality at the very heart of my therapy plan.
